Goodbye Dakota...
We said our farewells to Dakota this morning as he left for the airport. It's been a pleasure having him here and he managed to gather enough footage for his own section so we're stoked! A big thanks goes out to Primo for bringing him over. On his last day we purchased 'Guitar Hero' and have all been addicted since. Dakota must be a world champion as his moves were mesmerizing! Brad and Seth are adapting to the British ways and loving the tv dinners. The weather has been mostly terrible of late, so we squeezed in some riding whenever possible and took another trip to Unreal skatepark today to get those riding urges taken care of. The forecast seems a little more bright for next week, so hopefully we'll be out clocking footage in our t-shirts!
Friday Interview - Dakota Roche
Having just left Brighton to fly back to the US, we managed to get Dakota's thoughts on his stay in Brighton over the last two weeks.

Dakota Roche Insight DVD Contest Result!
Last week we posted the first half of a video featuring Dakota in Brighton.
We had a ton of entries on this, & some people even cooked up their own version of events - like Charlie Jobling, who's answer was so good we just had to post it up here:
". . . DAKOTA PUNCHES HIMSELF IN THE FACE mid flight and some how lands in manual, but a woman with a pram comes storming through the skatepark chasing after a cougar that had previously nabbed the womans baby... the woman catches up with the cougar and wrestles with it until her baby is safe. shortly after, the cougar in a fit of rage sees dakota...with his eyes swollen shut, getting up from the ground, the cougar attacks dakota but in a flash tony neyer saves the day with a hop whip straight to the cougars face. the end. . ."

Hoffman due to arrive...
So the Easter break is now over, we hope you all had a good one. Some good and bad things have happened here in that period, so here's a brief summary of what's gone down. Tony Neyer has now returned to Ohio and warmer weather no doubt! We all enjoyed having him here and we'll miss his daily antics, thanks to Primo for bringing him over. Dakota has managed to extended his stay and will be filming with us until Friday, so we're all happy about that one. Bad news here, Niki Croft landed awkwardly on a 180 whip during a Sittingbourne session and snapped one of of his toes in half! Looks like we'll be losing him for about 4-6 weeks, we all wish him a speedy recovery. Inbetween the freak snow showers we did gather a whole bunch of footage and found some time to have a drink or two. Shadow and Orchid rider Owain Clegg joined us for a few days and joined us in saying farewell to Tony. We're now awaiting the arrival of our next guests, Hoffman's Seth Kimborough and Brad Simms. Hopefully the weather will improve this week and we'll be out riding in the sunshine.

Recent Happenings...
We've been busy over the last few days, so here's a quick summary of what's been happening. Saturday saw more rain get in the way of riding, so instead of sitting around all day we cracked open a few beverages and headed out to town. The rain persisted on Sunday, so come Monday everyone was raring to go. Instead of the usual productive day of filming we ended having a bit of a weird one! It started with Tony snapping his chain and slamming both his knees into the concrete and finished with Dakota being shouted at by old men and the taking it on a 360 drop. Tuesday arrived along with Derek Strickland and we managed to get a full day's riding and clocked a healthy amount of footage, so smiles all round.

Seventies Session...
Rather than sit indoors waiting for the rain to stop, we decided to pay a visit to Seventies, home of Primo and Lotek in the UK, and ride the mini ramp setup. Dakota, Tony, Niki and Dan all played on the ramps for awhile and then hit up the flat rail for a few grinds. We filmed some moves and then headed back to Brighton. Hopefully the sun will have his hat on tomorrow and we'll be back out on the streets.

Primo Tapes Start Rolling...
The weather held off for us yesterday and we managed to get a whole day of riding in. Dakota and Tony adapted to Brighton's spots and battled the winds to get the first Primo tapes rolling. They both clocked some sweet footage, which continued today until the rain finally intervened. On our travels we bumped into Fatboy Slim and Zoey Ball, so we asked for a quick photo, to which they gladly obliged.

Primo Riders Arrive...
Joining us for the next few weeks will be Primo and Lotek's Dakota Roche and Primo's Tony Neyer. They arrived safe and sound this afternoon and have already sampled Brighton's finest super cod! Their bikes are built and if the weather is kind enough tomorrow we'll be out for a ride... fingers crossed.
